Boston Metro, MA - An International Hub in the Heart of New England

One of the oldest and most culturally rich places in the nation, the Boston Metropolitan Area is an international hub of higher education, culture, tourism, and commerce.

Historic Sites

One of the oldest cities in the U.S., Boston is a history buff's dream. Visit the Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum, or step aboard the USS Constitution (aka "Old Iron Sides") in the historic Charlestown Navy Yard. Make your way over to the 380-year Fort Independence on Castle Island or see the many historic sites along the Freedom Trail, a 2.5-mile route that winds through some of Boston's most famous neighborhoods. Boston is also chock full of gorgeous historic architecture, including Trinity Church and the Boston Public Library.

Arts and Entertainment

In Boston, you'll find a thriving arts scene and world class entertainment. See a theatrical production at the Charles Playhouse, take in a live musical performance at the Orpheum Theater, or visit one of Boston's other top venues, including the American Repertory Theatre and the Boston Opera House. If it's sports you're after, catch a Red Sox game in Fenway Park or watch the Celtics play at TD Garden. End your night out with a visit to the Prudential Center's observation deck, which offers breathtaking views of the city.

Shopping

With multiple shopping districts peppered in and around the city, Boston is a true shopper's paradise. For a bevy of upscale shops like Neiman Marcus, Barneys New York, and Burberry, make your way over to Copley Place in historic Back Bay. For an equally enticing mix of fashion finds, the Prudential Center offers two levels of shops like Lord & Taylor, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Vera Bradley. For amazing deals on clothing and home goods, the one-of-a-kind boutiques of Downtown Crossing are your best bet. And don't forget to check out Newbury Street, a world-famous stretch of shops along one of Boston's most well-known streets.

Dining

Nowhere is Boston's cultural diversity more evident than in its wide array of culinary offerings. For classic Italian-American fare, head over to Giacomo's on Boylston Street. Or if you're in the mood for award-winning sushi, try Uni's on Commonwealth Avenue. For a taste of Boston's famous fresh-caught seafood, the Neptune Oyster in Boston's North End will have you swooning. But you don't have to stay downtown to find great food, because Greater Boston is teeming with fantastic dining options. Try the Spanish-style plates at Merengue in Roxbury's Dudley Square or the Thai-Vietnamese menu at Fusion Foods in Chelsea.

Working together for good.

Having the right dentist makes all the difference in the world. Our dentists share a common bond: they are passionate about providing quality dental care to families. All of our dentists go through Kool Smiles training upon hire and continue to receive company sponsored continuing education. Many of our dentists are active in both local, regional, or state dental associations, serve on Medicaid advisory boards, and participate in national associations such as American Dental Association and American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.

explore the mission

Mentoring and teaching is my job
and I’m a Kool Smiles dentist.

We believe firmly that every child deserves to have a dentist and receive quality oral health care.

WHY ACCESS?

Kool Smiles is committed to expanding access to quality dentistry and oral healthcare services in underserved communities.

Lack of healthcare coverage, or being enrolled in the Medicaid program, should not undermine an individual’s access to vital dental services.

80% of the nation’s 179,000 practicing dentists refuse to provide care to Medicaid enrollees.

COMMUNITY

We’ve partnered extensively with local schools, daycares and community organizations to provide much-needed oral health screenings and supplies, free of charge. In 2012 alone, Kool Smiles provided over $18.5 million in dental services to children with no form of payment for those procedures, simply because it was in the best interest of the children and their health.

QUALITY

In addition to strong clinical oversight, Kool Smiles has implemented an advanced electronic health records (EHR) system that is used in every Kool Smiles office across the country to measure and report on clinical compliance. The system is closely monitored by our dental clinical leaders to assure all dentists are in compliance with professional standards as well as ADA and AAPD guidelines.
